The first time I sold anything I was 12 years old. Me...a shy, skinny kid that simply wanted to save money for a bicycle. What happened when I went door to door with my mom (my dad's suggestion) shaped the trajectory of my life. I enjoyed the experience so much I did not care about the bicycle anymore. It was something I wanted to do again and again, and have been still to this day.
Here are a couple of benefits that can help in developing many character traits in your child. Let's go!
#1 - Confidence
Sales will develop a confident boldness that helps you to have a conversation with anyone you encounter. You learn how to look at people directly in their eyes to communicate your message.
#2 - Communication
There are various forms of communication needed to make a sale: whether in person, via email, video, text and yes...the phone! It's a great way to learn how to develop a message as you conversate with a potential buyer, and this trait carries over to other areas of your life.
"Communication is a skill that you can learn. It's like riding a bike. If you work at it, you can improve the quality of every part of your life." Brian Tracy
#3 - Active Listening
